- • Parents are informed at all stages of assessment and we work in partnership with parents to ensure the child’s needs are all met and they are progressing.

• Children are tracked every month. This gives us the opportunity to identify any areas that require support. • Every child has a key person; this staff member develops an ongoing relationship with the child and their families. • We monitor children speech and language development. • We provide a progress check at age two; this is a short written summary of where the children are at in the prime areas of the EYFS. It also gives us the opportunity to discuss with parents any support which may be needed.

• Individual plans are put into place by the SENDCO and key person, Staff are shown how to complete plans and also the importance of play plans when supporting children’s needs. The SENDCO will explain to parents why we use plans and how they are effective in meeting the individual needs of the child. • Plans are reviewed every six weeks by the SENDCO, key person and the parents.
